Travel Blues

I've been having a major case of the travel blues. It makes me so mad to see other people get to travel whenever they want when I'm stuck here. I would have never thought that at the age of 30, with a career and no debt that I wouldn't be able to travel. At all. But alas it is so.

I want Frank Sinatra to come whisk me away. To Bombay, Peru and Acapulco Bay. To somewhere far, far away. Take me away Frank!

Come fly with me

let's fly, let's fly away
if you can use
some exotic booze
there's a bar in far Bombay

Come fly with me
let's fly, let's fly away

Come fly with me
let's float down to Peru
In Llamaland there's a one man band
and he'll toot his flute for you

Come fly with me
let's take off in the blue
Once I get you up there
where the air is clarified
we'll just fly,
starry-eyed

Once I get you up there
I'll be holding you so near
you may hear
angels cheer, 'cause we're together

Weather-wise it's such a lovely day
just say the words
and we'll beat the birds
down to Acapulco Bay

It's perfect for a flying honeymoon
 they say
Come fly with me
let's fly, let's fly away

Once I get you up there
where the air is rarified
we'll just fly, starry-eyed

Once I get you up there
I'll be holding you so near
you may hear
angels cheer, 'cause we're together

Weather-wise it's such a lovely day
you just say the words
and we'll beat the birds
down to Acapulco Bay

It's perfect for a flying honeymoon
 they say
Come fly with me
let's fly, let's fly away

Lost Photographs #1

My dad is notorious for hiding things. Recently when both of my parents expressed interest in my scanning old family photographs to preserve them, my dad "came upon" various old photographs. This is a series of photographs from 1984. Most taken in Portugal, others in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. I don't ever remember seeing these photographs so this is a real treat for me. I hope my dad will accidentally stumble upon some more hidden treasures!
