Young Me #2
Here are some photographs from 1981 (although I'm thinking the last one is from 1982). We lived in Natick, Massachusetts then in a complex called Kendall Crossing. I'm in the middle of a big scanning project and am tackling some of my parents' old photo albums. The photos are not in the best condition so scanning them now is really crucial. These photographs are nice and big with lots of detail so scanning them as they are is great!

Doesn't this dress look a lot like the one I wore in the Posh Frock Friday: New Year's Edition post? I had seen this picture after I purchased and wore that dress. I love that we both shared something similar like that.

Pictures of Dory #1
My beau Carlos has given me the opportunity to share some photographs of his mother here on Quelle's Thoughts. His mother, Dory, had amazing fashion sense and I love looking at pictures of her. She was always so put together and stylish. Carlos' mother passed away some years ago and unfortunately I never got a chance to meet her. I get some glimpses into her life through the collections of amazing photographs that Carlos' family saved of her. The pictures I'm sharing with you are circa early 1960s when Dory lived in New York City. I hope you this photo series.

Posh Frock Friday: April Fool's Day Edition
It's April Fool's Day and Mother Nature chose to play with our sanity again and give the area a nice slushy snowstorm. But I'm not going to complain because 1) it's happened before and 2) it gives me an excuse to wear the green diagonal pattern scarf that I've been knitting all winter. I had hoped that I could wear it before winter was over but by the time March 21st came around I still hadn't finished. But thanks to this surprise snow storm, I was able to deck myself out in some of my finest winter wear for one last time before next winter (or the next Spring snow storm).
