to begin at the beginning… or en media res, whichever

Hello out there. My name is Raquelle and as the title of my blog suggests I like to consider myself as an old-fashioned girl. I’m young in body and in mind, but ever since I can remember I always felt like I had a soul that lived through many previous generations. I look to the past and to our history for inspiration and I have a tendency to be nostalgic of eras gone by. Yet, I don’t try to live outside of my own time and I’m not to be confused with a highly-conservative, backwards, stick in the mud. Even though I long for some of the simplicity and elegance of the past, I’m still very modern in many respects. I’m a paradox, an oxymoron, but never a hypocrite. I’m wonderfully complex and I’ll hope you’ll return to my little nook on the internet to read my thoughts on everything from… well, actually my thoughts on everything really.
